What is Add Watermark?
Add Watermark stamps text across the pages of a PDF, such as "CONFIDENTIAL" or "DRAFT". You control the position, rotation, opacity, colour and whether it sits over or under the page content.
Common uses
- Marking drafts. Label a document DRAFT so nobody mistakes it for the final.
- Confidential documents. Stamp CONFIDENTIAL across every page before sharing.
- Ownership notices. Add your company or name so copies are traceable.
- Proofs and samples. Show a sample document with a visible mark.
| Text | Up to 80 characters |
|---|---|
| Opacity | 5% to 100%, default 25% |
| Rotation | 0, 45, 90, 180 or 270 degrees |
| Position | Nine places, or tiled across the page |
| Layer | Over the content, or under it |
| Pages | All pages, or a range |
| Sign-up | Not required |
Tips for best results
- Keep opacity low (20-30%) so the page stays readable.
- Use the tiled option for a hard-to-crop mark.
- Place it under the content if you do not want it to hide text.
- Image watermarks are not supported; text only.
