What is PDF to Word?
PDF to Word converts a PDF into an editable Word (.docx) document. Text, layout and images are rebuilt so you can edit them in Microsoft Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice instead of retyping the whole file.
Common uses
- Editing a received contract. Turn a PDF you were sent into a document you can redline and revise.
- Reusing old reports. Pull text and structure out of a finished PDF into a new draft.
- Updating a resume. Edit a resume that only exists as a PDF without recreating the layout.
- Copying content accurately. Get long passages into Word without broken line breaks from copy-paste.

Tips for best results
- Text-based PDFs convert best. Scans are images, so use OCR PDF before converting.
- Very complex layouts (dense columns, unusual fonts) may need minor cleanup after conversion.
- Check tables and headers once — they are the most layout-sensitive parts.
- Keep the original PDF as your reference copy.
