What is Split PDF?
Split PDF breaks one PDF into several smaller files. You can split by page ranges, into one file per page, into equal chunks, or by a maximum file size — and download the parts together as a ZIP.
Common uses
- Sending only a section. Share chapter 3 of a long document without sending the whole file.
- Separating scanned batches. Break a multi-document scan into individual files.
- Meeting upload limits. Split a big PDF into parts that each stay under a size cap.
- One page per file. Turn a bundle of forms or payslips into one PDF per page.

Tips for best results
- Use ranges when you know exactly which pages you want.
- Use By file size when an upload portal has a hard limit.
- Only want to drop pages and keep the rest as one file? Remove Pages is quicker.
- Check the page numbers in a PDF viewer first — printed page numbers can differ from file page numbers.
