How to sign a PDF on iPhone and Android

You can sign a PDF from a phone without printing, scanning or installing an app. Sign PDF runs in the mobile browser and places your name as a signature on the page you choose.

Steps

  1. Open Sign PDF in your browser. Use Safari, Chrome or any modern mobile browser and upload the PDF.
  2. Type your name. Your name is rendered in a cursive-style font as the signature, up to 60 characters.
  3. Choose the page and position. Pick the page and place the signature where it belongs. If you do not choose a page, the last page is used.
  4. Download the signed PDF. Save it. On iPhone it lands in Files; on Android in Downloads.

Good to know

  • This is a typed signature. Drawing a signature or uploading an image of your handwriting is not supported.
  • It is not a certificate-based digital signature, so it will not satisfy a rule that requires one.
  • Keep the unsigned original in case you need to sign again.
